You can play in a flag football tourney at the new Vikings stadium


The Vikings and UnitedHealth Group are hosting a flag football tournament at U.S. Bank Stadium one day before the Vikings kickoff the 2016 regular season – and you can play in it.

Thirty-three teams per team can sign up for free, with the commitment of raising a minimum of $3,500 per team. All proceeds benefit the Minnesota Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.

  • Prizes: TBD to the champions of each division
  • Gear: all players get a game-day shirt
  • Lunch: provided by the Vikings
  • Also: free stadium tour

"We are literally rolling out the green carpet for this event and there’s no better way to experience the new stadium before the Vikings’ home opener," a spokesperson for the event said in a statement. 

During the lunch break you'll be able to watch former Vikings and local and national media personalities play in a celebrity game.

The Vikings kick off the season the next day, Sunday, Sept. 11 on the road against the Tennessee Titans.
