Parise won't play Games 1 and 2 against Dallas; Vanek, Haula also out

Author:

Breaking, but somewhat expected news, as the Minnesota Wild have announced that Zach Parise and Thomas Vanek are out for Games 1 and 2 of their playoff series against the Dallas Stars.

The team says Parise is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury, which reports suggest is related to a nagging back issue.

Vanek is listed as "week-to-week" with an upper-body injury.

The Wild also listed forward Erik Haula "day-to-day" with an injury, although head coach John Torchetti confirmed that Haula will miss Game 1.

Game 1 is Thursday night with Game 2 in Dallas on Saturday.

The next chance for them to play will be Monday for Game 3 in St. Paul.
