Teddy Bridgewater is spending the offseason developing his body and his chemistry with Vikings wide receivers.

Last week, Bridgewater was in Orange County, California, working with a handful of teammates, including tight end Kyle Rudolph, receiver Charles Johnson and running back Jerick McKinnon. This week, Bridgewater will be in Miami working out with more receivers, according to Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune.

“I know he’s spending some time with those guys,” Zimmer told Hartman. “I believe it’s this week he has a bunch of guys coming down to see him [in Miami]. That stuff I feel good about, the way he progressed throughout the season. We anticipate that he’ll continue to progress at that pace. He has to continue to make the right decisions and take the plays that are there for him. All of those things are going to lead to his development. The great thing about him is he wants to work and get better every day. I feel really good about him. He’s the quality of guy that we really want to have here.”

One of the receivers Bridgewater is expected to work with this week is Cordarrelle Patterson, according to Brian Murphy of the Pioneer Press.

Zimmer also told Hartman that Bridgewater is about 210 pounds right now and he wants to him get up to 218 pounds.

The work the second-year QB is putting in off the field is all about a bigger goal: winning a Super Bowl. It's a topic Bridgewater likes to talk about.

"We always want to talk about it, because we want to have that championship mind-set and championship work ethic," he said in a feature with the Pioneer Press. "We know it's not going to happen overnight; we've just got to work toward building something special."

ESPN did a feature on Bridgewater last week that cited the quarterback as a player ready for a breakout season.
