The Vikings held their Friday practice gearing up for the Buffalo Bills without head coach Mike Zimmer.
Team officials said Zimmer, 58, was away from the team for a "minor procedure," Viking Update reports.
The Star Tribune reports that Vikings Executive Director of Public Affairs Bob Hagan said Zimmer plans to coach on Sunday and is expected to return to the team for practice on Saturday.
Offensive coordinator Norv Turner, who was the acting head coach on Friday, said Zimmer was at the team's practice facility earlier in the day.
"He was uncomfortable. He wasn't feeling real good," Turner said of Zimmer, according to ESPN.com. "I just talked to (athletic trainer) Eric Sugarman, and (Zimmer's) doing great. He'll be ready to go in the morning. He's feeling a lot better."
Further details on what went wrong for Zimmer are unknown.
