Kenya man, Portland woman win brisk marathon

Roughly 28,000 runners braved the chilly temperatures this weekend and laced up their shoes for the 31st Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, Minnesota Public Radio reports. Nearly 12,000 people took part in the 26.2 mile race from downtown Minneapolis to the State Capitol in St. Paul on Sunday. A Kenya man was the first to cross the finish line and a woman from Oregon claimed the women's title.
