Police discover woman dead at Brooklyn Center home during early morning welfare check

Officers also found "multiple" children on the scene, all of them unhurt.

Police officers doing an early morning welfare check at a Twin Cities home arrived to find a woman dead, with "multiple children" at the scene as well.

A 911 call to Brooklyn Center police came in at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, requesting officers check on a woman and children at a home on the 5400 block of Oliver Avenue North.

At the property, officers discovered a woman dead at the scene. Police say none of the children found at the scene were hurt.

Police have not revealed the nature of the death, but said a man was arrested and is in custody in connection with the investigation. The department says there is no danger to the public, and no ongoing threat.
